Greetings, my name is Jed Doherty. I am a former licensed, certified social worker. In 1983 I created my on stage character Jedlie. Since that time I have been presenting educational and faith based magic shows at schools and churches throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

In "The Challenge!!!" I use magic, illusion, comedy, music and dance to inspire students to create a safe, nurturing, bully free school by living the way Jesus taught us to live. To do this I weave true stories into my magic and illusions that remind us:
- That the choices we make in the real world, and in the virtual on-line world, matter, and have a tremendous impact on our lives and the lives of the people around us
- That we are called to treat others with the respect we want to be shown
- That we can transform our feelings of compassion and caring into action to help anyone in need, especially students being bullied, frightened or excluded
- To fully understand that we have the power to create a caring school that feels like family
- To understand that we have the responsibility to use the gift of technology to help others, to help us grow closer in communion with one another and that it is wrong to use these tools to be a cyber bully who hurts and harasses.

The majority of my magical stories are taken from real life. To help students understand the pain a person experiences when mistreated I tell the story of my son who choose to remain silent as he was tormented and threatened by a bully in middle school, and how his classmates' silence added to the pain. The story has a happy ending thanks to a courageous girl who transformed her concern into action, To address the issue of cyber bullying I share a heart warming story of a school that used technology and the Internet to help one of their students feel like the star of my show as he lay in a hospital bed 80 miles from the school battling a life threatening illness.
